Big Deck Energy Designs was founded by a longtime unscripted development exec who doubled down on the part of the job she loved most: building stunning, custom pitch materials. Enter Murphy Stack — the original Deck Head.
With 15+ years of experience developing and selling shows at world-class production companies — including Wilshire Studios, Ellen Rakieten Entertainment, Endemol Shine North America, Entertainment One, and VREG — Murphy became known for a rare in-house superpower: she didn’t just pitch the ideas, she designed the materials that sold them.
That development-first lens is still at the heart of her work today. Unlike traditional graphic designers, Murphy approaches every deck through the eyes of a developer and a buyer — shaping clear concepts, sharpening format beats, and building materials that look great and read strategically.

What types of decks and creative pitch materials do you design?
I specialize in custom pitch decks for unscripted television, premium docu-series, formats, competition shows, lifestyle concepts, talent-driven projects, brand extensions, and docu-follows. I also design one-sheets, style guides, sizzle treatments, pitch kits, and sales-ready development materials.
How is my work different from other designers?
I pair 15 years of unscripted development experience with high-level design. That means every deck is not only beautiful, but strategically structured to sell — buyer-driven, network-ready, and tailored to the exact audience you’re pitching (Netflix, Bravo, Hulu, HGTV, Food Network, etc.).
Do you help with the creative or just the design?
Both. I’m a hybrid: part development exec, part designer. I can revise, condense, or fully rewrite your copy, shape the format beats, sharpen the hook, craft taglines, build story arcs, and develop the overall positioning — then design a killer deck around it.
Can you help with casting pages, tone, comps, or visual direction?
Definitely. These sections are often critical in unscripted decks. I help with character/casting one-pagers, tone and world pages, comparable shows, format breakdowns, visual tone pulls, episode examples, and series arcs.
Do you help with pitch strategy?
Yes — I often partner with clients to refine their buyer list, pitch sequence, logline, comps, and verbal pitch. Think of me as a mini development exec in your pocket.
The Design & Development Process
Do I need a fully developed concept before we start?
Not necessarily. Some clients come with a fully fleshed-out treatment, rough drafts of decks; others have a concept, a title, and a dream. I meet you wherever you are in development and help get the idea pitch-ready.
What happens after you deliver the deck?
I’m available for future updates, new versions, network-specific reworks, pitch prep, and additional companion materials.
What deliverables do I receive?
You'll get a polished PDF deck, a high-resolution version optimized for presentations, and optional editable versions (Adobe Suite, Canva, PowerPoint, or Google Slides) upon request.
Pricing & Timelines
What do your decks usually cost?
Most custom decks fall between $900− $2800, depending on length, development needs, and design complexity. One-sheets and smaller projects are priced accordingly, and at a lower rate.
How long does a deck take?
A typical timeline is 1–3 weeks, depending on the scope of work and how quickly you provide feedback. Rush timelines are available upon request.
Do you take rush jobs?
Yes, depending on my bandwidth. Rush projects with tight deadlines can often be accommodated for an added fee.
